How Thermal Ablation Works

Step One: A small incision will be made in the skin over the malfunctioning vein where either a heat element or laser fiber will be inserted. Show the Video

Step Two: Anesthesia is injected along the length of vein being treated, protecting you from feeling the heat energy. Show the Video

Step Three: The vein will then be gently heated in a series of pulses. Show the Video

Step Four: This causes the vein to collapse. Blood will then reroute itself through other healthy veins. Patients can expect to be back to regular activity in a very short amount of time.
